David DeGrace, of Mount Vernon, was named as the victim of the Tuesday, Aug. 28 shooting at 240 7th Ave., in Mount Vernon, said spokeswoman Maria Donovan.
Donovan did not offer any details surrounding the murder but did say the investigation continues and no arrests have been made.
A memorial service was held for DeGrace Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.
Two other people, including a man and a woman, were shot on the same date, but in unrelated circumstances. Their identities or conditions have not been released.
During a press conference following the three shootings, Mount Vernon Police Chief Richton Ziadie said the two are expected to survive.
DeGrace's murder was the fourth of the year in Mount Vernon.
